Please read these terms carefully before using The Steelmen Dispatch. By subscribing, creating an account, or using the community features, you agree to these terms.

The Steelmen Dispatch is an independent publication covering Motherwell FC. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Motherwell FC.

1. Subscription

What you get: A subscription gives you full access to all member content on The Steelmen Dispatch website, including analysis, match reports, features, interviews, the stats hub, the community section, and the full archive. Access begins immediately after payment is confirmed.

Plans:

  • Monthly — £3.00/month. Billed monthly. Cancel at any time and access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Annual — £30.00/year. Billed annually. Saves £6 versus monthly.

Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

2. Payment

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable subscription fee to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You will receive a receipt by email for each payment. If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry it. If payment cannot be collected, access to member content may be suspended until the issue is resolved.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page or by contacting us at editor@steelmendispatch.co.uk.

  • Cancellation stops future billing immediately.
  • Access to member content continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, except where required by law.

4. Right of withdrawal (UK consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a new subscription and receive a full refund, provided you have not yet accessed member content during that period.

If you access member content within the 14-day window, you acknowledge that the service has begun and waive your right to a full cooling-off refund. We will, at our discretion, offer a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.

To exercise this right, email editor@steelmendispatch.co.uk within 14 days of subscribing.

5. Shop and physical products

Physical products (merchandise, fanzines, publications) are subject to separate terms at the point of purchase. UK consumers have a 14-day right to return unused physical goods in their original condition. Personalised or digital items may be excluded.

Shipping costs are stated at checkout and are non-refundable unless an item is faulty.

6. Content and intellectual property

All content published on The Steelmen Dispatch — including articles, data, graphics, design, and code — is owned by The Steelmen Dispatch or its contributors, and is protected by copyright.

Subscribers may read and share individual articles for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Reproduce or republish content in full without written permission
  • Scrape or systematically copy the site
  • Share subscription credentials with non-subscribers

7. Community conduct

The Steelmen Dispatch includes a community forum and article comment sections. By participating, you agree to conduct yourself in a way that is respectful to other members and to the spirit of the Dispatch.

You must not post content that:

  • Is abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory on any grounds
  • Is defamatory, deliberately misleading, or constitutes misinformation
  • Infringes the copyright or other rights of any third party
  • Constitutes spam, unsolicited advertising, or self-promotion
  • Is illegal or promotes illegal activity

We reserve the right to remove any post or content that we consider to be in breach of these standards, without notice and without obligation to explain. Repeated or serious violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal. We are not obliged to moderate all content before it is published, but we will act on reports promptly.

8. User-generated content

When you post a comment, forum reply, or other content on The Steelmen Dispatch, you retain ownership of that content. By posting, you grant The Steelmen Dispatch a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store and moderate that content as part of the site and community record.

If you close your account or request deletion of your personal data, your posts may remain visible as part of the community record but will be anonymised (your display name replaced with a generic identifier) on request. Where removal of a post would break a thread in a way that makes other replies unintelligible, we may retain a note that the post has been removed rather than deleting it entirely.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. The Steelmen Dispatch accepts no liability for user-generated content.

9. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your login with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being shared or have violated these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Subscription requires you to be at least 18 years old.

10. Changes to the service

We may change, add to, or remove features of the Dispatch at any time. We will not reduce the core offering (analysis, match reports, archive access) without giving subscribers at least 30 days’ notice and the option to cancel and receive a pro-rata refund.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email.

11. Limitation of liability

The Steelmen Dispatch provides content for informational and entertainment purposes. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies. Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
